Our journey back to Ethiopia

Last summer we went back to Ethiopia to visit the farmers we source coffee from, and explore the possibilities for Buunni, in Ethiopia. If you've been following us for a while, you'll already know that Ethiopia is renowned as the birthplace of Arabica coffee, and it offers a rich coffee culture that builds community and connection.
During our travels, we visited coffee farms and cooperatives in the main coffee regions in the South and Southwest parts of Ethiopia. It was an immersive experience, and one that redoubled our belief in coffee as a vehicle for positive change in Ethiopia, as well as in Upper Manhattan/South Bronx, Buunni's home base in New York City.
We deepened our connection to the people behind the coffees that we so proudly stand behind. We were dazzled by the complex ecosystems of coffee as it is traditionally grown in Ethiopia. And now, we are delighted to share glimpses from our journey with you.
